A Bald Eagle, a Falling Fish, and a Baffled Driver

On Sunday morning, July 27, Albert Cutler and his family were just trying to get home from church in Waukesha County when they witnessed something straight out of a wildlife documentary meets a sitcom. While driving on Highway 16 near Okauchee Lake, Cutler noticed a bald eagle soaring, majestic, symbolic, and apparently hungry.

Then came the unexpected.

“Did I Just Hit a Fish?”

As Cutler told FOX6 News, the eagle lost its grip on a fish mid-flight, and the bass plummeted directly into his truck. While Cutler’s first reaction was disbelief—“Did I just hit a fish?”—his family, who were riding ahead of him, saw the whole thing unfold.

One Church Sermon, One Unexpected Catch

They didn’t think much of it until they got home… and found a largemouth bass wedged in the truck's grill. As fate, or irony, would have it, the sermon that morning had been titled, “Things you have never seen before.

Wisconsin-Style Fishing Without the Boat

Cutler, who says he doesn’t fish often (but does buy a license), now has the biggest bass he’s ever “caught” chilling in his fridge. Literally. It’s currently in a plastic bag while he decides what to do next.
