Jake Owen Bringing His 2022 Concert Tour to the Owensboro Sportscenter
Back in 2011, Jake Owen rather famously made a ton of fans at the Big O Music Fest here in Owensboro. It was that afternoon that severe thunderstorms plowed into the festival, completely cleared the stage and much of Reid's Orchard, where the event was held. But Jake wasn't about to let the rain stand in his way (or the crowd's) of having a good time. So, he grabbed a guitar, went out into the crowd and led the absolutely drenched country music fans in a sing-along.
Jake came back to the Big O Music Fest two more times- as headliner in 2013 and headliner again in 2018.
Well, big news for local Jake Owen fans! He's coming to Owensboro again and, later this Fall, will be bringing this Up There Down Here Tour to the Owensboro Sportscenter. That concert is set for Thursday, November 10th.
Over the course of Jake's country music career, he's released over 20 singles. Nine of them have reached #1 on the Billboard Country Chart. His very first #1 was "Barefoot Blue Jean Night", which he managed to perform at The Big O Music Festival despite that severe weather outbreak. In fact, this video shows just how ominous the sky was when he took the stage.
When Jake rolls back into town in November, he'll be bringing a special guest with him. Travis Denning will be the official opening act for this date of the tour.
Travis recently had a huge hit of his own. In fact, his hit "After a Few" hit #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
