How we gonna pay? How we gonna pay? How we gonna pay? Last year's RENT!
Jasper Community Arts has announced its 2024-2025 season and four Broadway legends are going to be part of it. First, on December 7th, Norm Lewis is coming to town and hitting the stage with The Norm Lewis Christmas Show. Among Lewis' Broadway credits- Porgy & Bess, Chicken and Biscuits, and Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of the Opera, a production in which he made history in 2014 when he became Broadway's first black Phantom.
Another Broadway veteran will take the stage on February 25th, 2025.
Norbert Leo Butz, a two-time Tony Award winner (Catch Me If You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) comes to town for a special performance called Broadway, My Way. Butz's other notable Broadway credits include Wicked, Big Fish, Harry Connick Jr's Thou Shalt Not, and the 2018 Lincoln Center revival of My Fair Lady. I saw that revival. He was, without a doubt, the best part of it.
Then, on April 12th, the Jasper Arts Center is going to be the site of a legendary reunion.

Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, who originated the roles of "Roger" and "Mark" in RENT, will take the stage in a show that celebrates their 30-year friendship on Broadway and beyond.
Pascal is a Tony nominee known for his work in shows like Aida, Memphis, Something Rotten! and Disaster! Anthony Rapp recently wrapped up an autobiographical Off-Broadway show called Without You. He has also been featured in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and If/Then.
