Later this year, the National Guard housing and offices on West Parrish will close and move to their new location. In a June 9, 2011, article, Owensboro's Messenger-Inquirer wrote that the work on the replacement was picking back up after our heavy spring rains.

A&K Construction of Paducah had finished for the day but not before we took some photos of the erection. Just imagine how 57,644 sq. ft. facility will look to folks arriving in town by plane. Wow. Eventually the airport and building will be connected by a plane apron. A&K expects to complete the project by December, 2011.
