Urgent: Help Find A Forever Home For Lenny, The Beloved Daviess County Shelter Dog
The Friends of Daviess County Animal Care and Control need your help. They are rallying the troops to find a home for the one of the shelter's longest residents. His name is Lenny and he is in desperate need of a forever home.
What makes Lenny's situation so urgent is the fact that space at the shelter is incredibly limited. That space is running out and it's becoming imperative that we find Lenny a new home soon. Here's this sweet boy's story.
Look at this smile!

Lenny arrived at the shelter as a stray on January 4th. He's been there since and has routinely been overlooked for adoption. He's a 70-pound Shepherd mix and volunteers say he is adorable, loves to play and "has a ton of love to give."
One of Lenny's favorite things to do is to run in the yard and play fetch. You can tell that he's incredibly smart and has likely had some sort of obedience training. Why? Because, when he's playing fetch, he'll bring the ball right back to you and lay it gently at your feet.
WATCH!
In addition to loving to play, Lenny adores people. He also seems to be remarkably good with children. As you can see in the video, he recently got to spend some quality play time with a 9-year-old shelter volunteer who loved him.
