
Livermore, KY Announces Plans for Huge Independence Day Celebration
Candace Miller, who owns and operates BF Evans Ford with her husband Derek, says "It rivals what Owensboro does." Sonny Renfrow, who helps organize and publicize the event, proudly and wholeheartedly agrees. They're talking about Livermore, Kentucky's annual Independence Day Celebration, which is set for Thursday, July 4th. In addition to closing with an incredible fireworks finale, the city has an entire afternoon and evening jam-packed with activities, food, music and fun!
Here's the 2024 Schedule of Events!
4:30pm- DECORATED BICYCLE & GOLF CART PARADE
Anyone interested in participating is asked to assemble in the parking lot of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.
4:45pm- PARADE BEGINS DOWN MAIN STREET

The participants in the Decorated Bicycle & Golf Cart Parade will proceed along Main Street to Dr. Sam Scott Drive. Judging will take place at the pavilion by the Livermore Lions Club. Awards will be given out to 1st and 2nd place in each category.
5pm- FOOD BOOTHS OPEN
6:30pm- WATERMELON EATING CONTEST
Kids AND adults are encouraged to compete in this 4th of July favorite sponsored by Independence Bank.
6:30pm- LIVE MUSIC
The popular band Barrett will take the stage with a playlist of country, blues, southern rock, and rock and roll. The concert is sponsored by ACE Hardware and BF Evans Ford.
6:45pm- STREET DANCE
While the band's playing, you're encouraged to go "dancing in the street."
7:30pm- BINGO
That's pretty self-explanatory. 4th of July Bingo is sponsored by Independence Bank.
9pm- FIREWORKS
