Local Events For The Weekend Warm Up

The winter blast has come and is expected to slowly dissolve into warmer conditions over the course of the weekend. After a Friday inside you'll want to step out for some fun local events like a the American Legion Post 9 Bombers rummage sale and a free nail clinic for the family pet on Saturday.

American Legion Post 9 is looking to raise some dough with a rummage sale from noon to 5pm at the James L. Yates American legion Post 9 located at 118 W. Veterans Blvd here in Owensboro. BBQ chickens will be available for sale for just $8.

Our own animal lover and long time weekender Barb Birgy will be happy to know that Spay-a-Stray of Owensboro is having a free nail clinic this Saturday from 9am to noon. All donations and money raised will help spay and nueter pets at a low discount to the community in order to help curb the over population of dogs and cats. Spay-a-Stray is located at the corner of triplett and 14th.
