WBKR is very proud of the members of the Kentucky Wesleyan Singers and Owensboro Symphony Chorus who performed at New York's Carnegie Hall Saturday.  Diane Earle, Chair, Department of Communication and Fine Arts at Kentucky Wesleyan was Director/Accompanist.

The singers spent five days in New York City rehearsing and sightseeing and took a post-concert dinner cruise.

They also attended a Kentucky Wesleyan College alumni picnic in Central Park and visit  the Empire State Building and other tourist attractions.

They sang Haydn’s Paukenmesse (“Mass in Time of War”).  The two choruses were combined with members of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana choruses with 128 singers performing. The concert was accompanied by the New England Symphonic Ensemble.  Dennis Malfatti, Conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic and University of Evansville choruses, conducted the performance.
