Mayor Calls for Demolition of Roberts Stadium

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke made his announcement today in front of the Evansville Parks Board of Commissioners that he is recommending the demolition of Roberts Stadium and the area be turned into park space.

For the short term, the land will be vacant, but the longer term vision is to create a park that will serve a variety of purposes.

The parks board has been asked to have a decision at their July meeting.
