Miranda Lambert Takes Alaskan Fishing Vacation

What does Miranda Lambert do between shows? She visits Alaska to go fishing. A Taste of Country reader sent us these pictures of the ‘Fastest Girl in Town’ singer reeling ‘em in by the dozens when she was on a mini-vacation earlier this month, sans husband Blake Shelton. The break came during a trip to the Last Frontier for an August 2 show in Anchorage.

Shelton was likely filming ‘The Voice’ at the time of his lady’s break. The two are avid outdoorspeople, who are known to be competitive in a hunting blind — or perhaps even on a fishing boat. Lambert returns to the road this weekend, with gigs planned in Arkansas, Illinois and Grand Rapids, Mich. before a 10-day break to finish her month. We hear the steelhead fishing in the Grand River is pretty good.
