On Saturday, WSMV Channel 4 News reported a possible road closure on I-24 near Joe B. Jackson Parkway. Because of a zebra "wreaking havoc." After an almost weeklong adventure in the Nashville area, he has been spotted again in a field just south of Murfreesboro, TN.

The owner purchased said striped escape artist from a breeder in Texas and had JUST brought it home on Friday to Middle Tennessee. Only for it to leave on this big adventure, not even 24 hours later.

This escaped pet became an international news sensation as the internet went wild with memes and videos. Everyone in the Nashville area loved this wild goose chase so much that they lovingly named the zebra "Ed."

Drones Searching For TN Zebra

I know there was a crew of folks searching on land and via drone to try a spot the zebra as it ran through neighborhoods and shopping centers. He hasn't been seen since the beginning of the week until now.

Zebra Spotted Safe in Christiana, TN Field

In my imagination, Ed has been having the time of his life. Running free as a bird. However, animal experts have since shared that zebras can be easily startled and are prone to possible heart problems. Luckily, Ed was spotted today in a field in Christiana, TN. He seems to be safe, but the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department is urging the public to stay away from the area. Ed's owner is working with a veterinarian to lure him and bring him home.

The poor thing has to be exhausted and probably starving, so hopefully he cooperates and can be homeward bound.
