This morning on WBKR's Waking Crew Chad and I mentioned that one of the most trended items on Google was the new World Trade Center. A friend of mine lived in New York City in the late 1980's and rented a secured apartment in Manhattan. It was a tiny little room with a bathroom and a kitchenette. She paid $3000 a month for it! Why? Because from her kitchenette window she could see the Empire State Building, for years the tallest building in New York City. When the World Trade Center was built in 1973 it surpassed the King Kong building (esoteric movie reference).

Now, 10 years, 232 days, 3 hours and 44 minutes the new World Trade Center, set to open soon, topped the "Gorilla building" (a esoteric radio reference) yesterday. If you missed it on TV, watch the monumental event here.
