Old Hickory’s Smokehouse Engulfed in Flames

Let's begin by saying it was NOT the restaurant itself that caught fire. It was the smokehouse out back where the meat is cooked.

But has been a fire on the Old Hickory property in Owensboro.

The restaurant will be closed New Year's Day and it's been confirmed that they have other ways to cook.

But this WAS startling thing to see for fans of the iconic barbecue restaurant.

Police closed Booth Avenue and surrounding streets while crews worked to contain the flames.
