OMU Reports Water Main Break on 4th Street in Owensboro

Portions of downtown Owensboro are closed this morning due to a water main break.

OMU spokesperson Sonya Dixon says portions of 4th Street are closed because of a water main break near Daviess County Middle School.  While crews are working to fix the problem, the utility is issuing a Conservation Order and a Boil Water Advisory.  Both plants will have to be shut down temporarily the repair the break.
