Owensboro and the Tri-State Under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch

We're looking at the possibility of rough weather tonight as the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Owensboro and the tri-state.

And here's what the NWS Storm Prediction Center is saying about our slight to enhanced risk for severe weather tonight:

 The greatest potential for severe thunderstorms with damaging winds
   and large hail this afternoon and evening remains across parts of
   the Ohio and middle Mississippi Valleys. Other more isolated severe
   storms may occur across parts of the Mid Atlantic into the
   Carolinas, and across parts of west Texas.

   ...20Z Update...
   A small cluster of storms across central IN should continue
   south-southeastward this afternoon and evening. MLCAPE around
   1500-2000 J/kg and 30-35 kt of effective bulk shear will likely
   support continued organization of these storms as they move into
   southern IN and perhaps north-central KY and far southwestern OH
   later this afternoon and early evening. The Enhanced risk has been
   expanded slightly eastward to account for the damaging wind threat
   with this convection.
