Owensboro Based “Huts for Haiti” Looking To Make Global Impact [VIDEO]

Huts for Haiti is an Owensboro-based non-profit looking to make a huge impact on the people of Haiti. I had the pleasure of learning more about this wonderful group of people on Friday at Shoe Stop while broadcasting with the Angels for Ashley cooking team during their fundraiser. I interviewed the visionary for Huts for Haiti and this mission is impressive, to say the least.

The group will travel to Haiti in February 2016 to instal these huts and to do other types of mission work. When we were there yesterday, a woman stopped by, with her checkbook in hand to buy an entire hut. She and her husband were so touched by the cause, that they wanted to help out. It doesn't take a lot for my emotions to get going, and I had to hold a few tears back just hearing her talk about it.
