Owensboro Did a Lot of Cleaning This Labor Day Weekend

All over town, Saturday, I saw U-Haul trucks, trucks with trailers, cars with trailers, folks working in their yards, people on roofs, you name it. People were getting stuff DONE this Labor Day weekend.

I was talking about this with Angel and she, too, was part of the Owensboro Labor Day weekend labor force.

She and her family were cleaning out a basement.

My family was helping my nephew move.

As for the rest of the city? Well, take a look at the collection shelter at Goodwill from Monday evening.

Apparently, THIS was the weekend to get busy and GET 'ER DONE!

And it seems everyone got the memo.

I'm not sure "Labor Day Weekend" has ever lived up to its name quite so much.
