According to a release from the Daviess County Sheriff's Office, Owensboro Police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the 2700 block of S. York St. overnight. Just a few hours later the Daviess County Sheriff's Office spotted what appeared to be the stolen vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. The deputy initiated a pursuit that lasted about one mile.

The stolen vehicle then went off of the roadway and struck a tree & light pole at the corner of Bosley Rd and West Parrish Ave. The driver then fled on foot. The suspect was later found in a trash toter in the 1800 block of Calhoun St. The suspect was then taken into custody without incident.

Inside the vehicle, property was also recovered which had been stolen from a different vehicle on April 1st, 2020 on Barrington Place in Owensboro.
