Owensboro Men from Newburgh Boating Accident Identified

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has identified two Owensboro men involved in a boating accident Sunday on the Ohio River at the Newburgh Lock and Dam.

The Indiana DNR says the man who is still missing is 45-year-old Steven O. Burks of Owensboro.

He was boating with 48-year-old Paul Warrenfeltz, also of Owensboro, who was rescued at the time of the accident.

The boat that Burks and Warrenfeltz were in failed to start and, as a result, was pulled into the Newburgh Lock and Dam.

Multiple agencies resumed searching early this morning.
