Owensboro Police Investigating Shooting in Chuck Gray Court Area

Breaking news this afternoon.  We are getting reports from the Owensboro City Police Department that they are investigating a shooting in the 600 block of Chuck Gray Court.

According to OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, one person has been shot in the incident and the suspect is considered to be at large.  Details about this story are just breaking and we are working to obtain further information.

In the meantime, Daviess County Public Schools have advised several schools in the area to go on "lockout" status as a safety precaution for students and faculty.  Those schools are Apollo High School, Burns Elementary School, Burns Middle School, Heritage Park High and Tamarack Elementary.  Southern Oaks, though not advised to initiate lockout status, decided to do so as an additional precaution.

**UPDATE:  All schools have lifted lockout status.
