Owensboro’s Nicky Hayden in Serious Condition After Car/Bicycle Accident

While training on a bicycle in Italy, former MotoGP champ and Owensboro's own Nicky Hayden was struck by a car.

Autosport.com reports that Hayden was riding with friends along the Rimini coast when the collision occurred.

The crash threw Nicky onto the hood of the car and into the windshield.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he is being treated for severe head and chest trauma.

Nicky is listed in serious condition.
