If you've ever shopped at the Gordon's Hardware in Owensboro, Kentucky, you've likely met the store's now-famous and 'frisky' employees. And, no! I don't mean David, Ray or Wesley- the guys who work there. I mean The Gordon Girls!

The popular store cats have lived inside Gordon's for over fifteen years. When they first arrived, Gordon's was True Value location and they were named appropriately.

One was named True.

They've been staples of the store and customer favorites since.

Of course, over that time frame, Gordon's has moved locations. When the Gordon Girls were brought to the new location, it took them about a month to get used to their new surroundings. They were skittish at first. They weren't quite sure what to make of the Washington Avenue location. Today, they are perfectly at home and are visited daily by customers and some folks who randomly drop by to check on them. One guy even brings them a can of tuna.

You can routinely find True and Value napping in the middle aisle of the store.

They also have a food and water station set up near the cash register. Naturally, their water bowl is labeled Gordon Girls!

These cats certainly have a routine. Around 5pm every day, True gets up from her nap, walks to the front of the store and politely 'demands' to be fed. However, she doesn't eat out of the bowl. She eats off her favorite shelf in the store.

Ray says she even has a favorite food and knows the difference between them.

If you want to meet the Gordon Girls, they're currently sprawled out somewhere in the store. Gordon's Hardware is located at 321 Washington Avenue in Owensboro.
