How to Play Golf and Help Organ Transplant Recipients in the Owensboro Area

Krista Hall gave birth to her daughter Makayla Brown on November 3rd, 2004.  Shortly after that, the brand new mom learned was going to need a liver transplant caused by the onset of Primary Biliary Cholangitis, which occurred during her pregnancy.  She waited.  And she waited.  And she waited some more.  Thirteen years later, Krista made in onto the transplant list. A year later, in 2018, she received her brand new liver.

Since that time, Krista, who lives here in Owensboro, has been working with the non-profit Second Chance at Life, which is based in Louisville, Kentucky.  And, later this month, Krista is hosting her first-ever golf scramble to help raise money for Second Chance at Life and a trip to the Transplant Games of America, which will take place next year in San Diego, California.  There, transplant recipients from around the country will participate in a Summer Games-inspired competition.

Krista's golf scramble will make this journey a possibility.  It's set for 2pm, Saturday, September 25th at the Pearl Club in Owensboro.  Teams of four are invited to join.  The cost is $100 per player and, if you're interested, you can fill out the form below.
