Charles Mattingly is the owner of these cars, one a two-door (that's the boy) and a four-door (the girl).  I called Charles thinking there'd be some great story about the cars. How they'd spent all their years together in a garage and taken out only on summer days. "No, nothing extraordinary like that", he told me. "I bought them separately about two years ago to "fix up" and I don't have the time to continue."  Apparently more than anything the big 420 engines the cars possess appealed to Charles. To coin the phrase, they just don't make 'em like that anymore. Well, at least my curiosity is satisfied.  If you have the inclination to take on the restoration, or just need a good old heavy car, give Charles a call at 270-925-5229. You can see them at 25th and Frederica, right across from Independence Bank.
