Semi Overturned on Hwy 60 Between Lewisport and Hawesville

A traffic accident to report this afternoon.  Emergency officials are responding to a crash involving an overturned semi on HWY 60 between Lewisport and Hawesville.

According to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials, the crash occurred near milepoint 3.29 near the intersection of US 60 and Pleasant View Road.  A semi carrying aluminum coils was involved in the crash and overturned.

Responders are on site working to clear the scene.  However, we're told it could take up to four hours to do so.  In the meantime, traffic is being detoured around the accident site with two-way traffic running along the eastbound lanes.
