Shania? Why Not?

It's been a while since we've heard a Shania Twain record.  Why?  It seems to be a bit of a mystery, although one reason could be the break-up of her fourteen year marriage to producer Robert "Mutt" Lange.  However this week, two big Shania announcements have surfaced.  One, Twain is said to be in talks with Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas to fill-in when headliner Celine Dion wants a break, well not technically fill-in, but perform her own show.  Two, Twain will be seen soon on OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network) in her own reality show, "Why Not?".  In the series, the singer will do her own soul-searching, as well as talk to others about how they move on when life deals them a bad hand.  In a way, Twain will be seeking inspiration from those who she has inspired over the years.

Just a few days before the series premiere of "Why Not?" on May 8th, Twain's autobiography From This Moment will hit bookstores and it will tell the story of Twain's beginnings in Canada and how she became one of the biggest music artists of all time.
