35 Adorably Furry Photos from SPARKY’s Bark in Style Fashion Show in Owensboro

On Saturday night, I got the honor of emceeing the 5th Annual Bark in Style Fashion Show for SPARKY- Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky.  I have served as emcee for this event from its inception and it's a furry fundraiser I look forward to every year.

The very first year the event was held at the Campbell Club in downtown Owensboro. It quickly outgrew that space and is now held annually at Green River Distilling Company, which is the perfect setting for this unique event, which is one part silent auction, one part dinner and one part runway show featuring fashions from local retailers and dogs available for adoption through the SPARKY program.

Coincidentally, I am proud owner of two SPARKY rescues- Yogi and Simon.  Naturally, I have pics!

As you can see, my guys are definitely two of the reasons I support the SPARKY mission.  They are my heart.

Speaking of hearts, they were certainly melting on Saturday night as twenty five dogs walked the runway with their assigned humans, who were sporting the latest local styles from Byron & Barclays, Come-hither, Rayelle Collection, Embellish Boutique and Adorn Boutique.

While the final tally is not yet available, we know for certain that the event was a HUGE success.  And, yes, plans for the 2023 Bark in Style are already in the works.
