Remember the old disco song "Knock On Wood?" Well, it was like "thunder and lightning" last night in parts of the tri-state as random severe thunderstorms blew in. They brought with them some very impressive lightning and some of my Facebook friends were outside with their phones and cameras aimed at the sky to capture some "electric" moments. And some of them did.
I was sitting in my apartment Thursday night, and I was calm. I was watching a movie I had saved on my DVR, but I was checking Twitter on my phone to keep up with any severe weather information. I don't know how many lightning strikes there were, but it was something to see, from the safety of my living room.

A couple of weeks ago, there were fireworks displays all over the tri-state for 4th of July. But, last night, Mother Nature decided to give us a big pyrotechnic show of her own. We could tell something was brewing because the sky was basically pink around 8pm last night and it was STRANGE. And, then, to quote the big disco hit "Knock On Wood," it was thunder and lightning!!
