When news broke of Tina Turner's death, I immediately remembered seeing her in concert at Roberts Stadium in Evansville. It was her Private Dancer Tour in 1985. Here's what I remember.

My very first concert ever was at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, Indiana. I went to see Shaun Cassidy.

Recent years have seen the demise of some stalwart and historic old buildings in the tri-state. The Executive Inn and the National Guard Armory in Owensboro are two examples.

They swung the gavel, and anything that wasn't nailed down was available for auction at Roberts Stadium today. It's gonna be sad to see it eventually go.
