Local military veterans have a heartwarming chance to bring home furry companions at no cost, thanks to Daviess County Animal Care Control. This initiative not only gives shelter animals a new beginning but also helps combat veteran loneliness, especially during the holidays.

There are several local churches that are offering their basements to the public for safety from the possibility of severe weather this afternoon and well into the over night hours.

Here in the tri-state, we are staring down flooding levels not seen since 1997.  And, as rain and storms continue, the problems continue to get worse.  This morning, I had the chance to chat with my friend, Malissa Troutman with the American Red Cross, about how you can GET help if you need it and how you can GIVE help if you are able.  Take a listen . . .
