Yesterday was my first ever trip to the Evansville West Side Nut Club Fall Festival and it did not disappoint! I tried and saw some crazy foods, but had one special thing on my mind all day... bologna. To my surprise, I hit the jackpot with this one! Fried bologna sandwich, with sauerkraut! Oh my goodness, y'all have to check this out!
It's here, everyone! Whether you live in or around Evansville or come from out of town, it's a staple of fall. Brain sandwiches, pronto pups, meat wads and more!
Serve up the brain sandwiches and the meatwads! Pour some chocolate on some grasshoppers and let the 94th Annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival begin. Once again, Franklin Street in Evansville is playing host to one of the largest street festivals in the world. And, it's all set up and ready to go. Check out this cool time-lapse video from Sunday morning that shows just how quickly a street
The Montessori Academy booth at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville has lots of rather odd food choices. They have grasshoppers, crickets and THESE!! Yes. They have scorpion suckers. And Brett and I decided to bring a couple home to use for an experiment on The CB Radio Show. We wanted to know just how many licks it would take to get to the scorpion. And, well, we found out.
We were a little naughty and a little nice at the Fall Fest. The same booth holds Donut Bank sausage cheese sliders, as well as 100 calorie (delicious fruit whip). We also ate bugs, yes bugs! We met up with The Best Day Ever Evansville and Gretchin tricked Mikey. See what we think and where to get this little bit of Heaven at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival!
There are all sorts of bizarre foods at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Some end up being delicious. Some will make you feel like you're trapped in a food challenge on Fear Factor. That's exactly how I felt when we stumbled across the Salvation Army's Pickle Juice Icee.
