It's June and that means bridge work. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists there will be temporary lane restrictions on U.S. 41 in the Evansville Metro Area.

Beginning Monday, June 20, INDOT crews will be closing various lanes on U.S. 41 for the removal of the Dynamic Message Signs (DMS). It is anticipated that all work will begin at approximately 6:30 a.m. and complete by 6:00 p.m. each day.  Work will begin at the sign just north of the Indiana/Kentucky state line.  Once this sign is removed they will move to the sign near Petersburg Road.  The last sign is located near the I-64 interchange.  The remaining signs will be removed during the week with a more detailed schedule to follow.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.  For the latest news and information please visit  INDOT.
