The Band Perry Has Universal Appeal

During my family New Year's Rockin Eve my teen-aged daughter was super excited that LMFAO would be performing live and I was not surprised. After All little miss  is into hip hop and pop music and doesn't usually go for the Country genre but she surprised me when she squealed at the sight of a live performance from "The Band Perry".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEy4vThOg8A&feature=rela

I was surprised to learn that she loves the song "If I Die Young" and so do her friends. I knew that Taylor Swift was great at crossing boundaries with songs like "Love Story" but I have to admit that when I first heard "If I Die Young" I wondered if it would be too old fashioned for Country much less the wild and Wiley teen appetite. It just goes to show you that I am old and out of touch, but hey i'm trying to keep up.
