Earlier today, I got the chance to hang out at TTMA here in Owensboro.  Today was the first of two job fairs the plant is hosting this week and I have to say- it was a pretty successful morning.  I was broadcasting live for the first two hours of the event.  Several folks who came by to apply mentioned they heard us talking about the job fair on the radio.  And, I personally witnessed a few on-the-spot job offers.  The folks who were offered jobs this morning will likely be working within two weeks.

TTMA is currently looking to hire 2nd shift workers (6:30pm-6:30am Monday through Friday, though overtime is sometimes available as well).  There are actually two paths to employment with the company: direct hire or via Innovative Staff Solutions (TTMA's temp-to-hire program).

To be considered for a Direct Hire, applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED) and three years of manufacturing or military experience.  If you don't have those qualifications, you can seek employment through Innovative, who are also on site during the job fair for interviews.

I learned a lot about TTMA today, like the fact that they have an incredible benefits package that includes PTO time, paid holidays, and insurance (which includes an on-site health care clinic).  And, by the way, the benefits package takes effect on day one of employment.  Plus, Innovative, through the end of August, is offering another incredible perk.  They're offering a $600 sign on bonus and you can ask the Innovative staff for additional details.

If you or someone you know is looking for a job, visit TTMA this Thursday (August 12th) from 10am to 2pm CST.  Thursday's job fair will work just like today's.  Applications and interviews will be available on the spot.  And I want to add that 2nd shift workers at the plant make an additional 75 cents per hour.

Also, Spanish and Japanese translators are on hand in the HR Department.
