Warrick Humane Society Hosting a Paw-ty in Newburgh this Weekend

Going to a party is fun but going to a paw-ty with your four-legged bestie is even better. Warrick Humane Society has teamed up with Myriad Brewing Company in Newburgh. This Sunday, June 25th from 12-3PM for Mutts at Myriad.

Penelope is a 2-year-old Blue Heeler mix who's ready for her forever home. She is extremely sweet, walks well on a leash, and is said to be housebroken. Penelope is a Heeler mix and true to her breed, she will sometimes herd people. Small children/toddlers may not be the best fit for her because of this. Training and giving her a job can help this greatly though. She loves to be active, but also loves to snuggle! Penelope likes most other dogs she's met, but we always recommend a meet and greet if you have another dog to make sure it's a good match.

Buttons

Buttons is a sweet 1 year old beagle mix who recently returned back to us as an unclaimed stray. We’re not sure this little gal’s story, but all 22 pounds of her would love to find a new furever home!

Izzy

Izzy is a 2-year-old boxer/pit mix. She LOVES other dogs and has had many friends here at the shelter. Izzy is really sweet and friendly with people too! She loves to play with her toys!

Hannah is a beautiful 1.5 year old lab mix. She does well with many other dogs and seems to do well with cats too! She is very friendly and playful! She loves to spend time splashing and laying around in kiddy pools!

Annabelle

Annabelle is a 4 year old Border Collie Mix that has now been with us for just over a week. Annabelle is very sweet but can be a little shy at first.

Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic
Do you have a dog or cat due for vaccines? We are hosting a low-cost vaccination clinic open to the public on Tuesday, July 18th. The clinic is from 9AM -12PM (or later if pets are still being seen). Registration begins at 8AM and ends at 11AM (or earlier if we reach our capacity of 50 pets). Registration is limited to the first 50 dogs or cats, and registration for the clinic is first come, first serve. A registration table will be set up on the porch of our Home Away Pet Spa.
Please expect a potentially long wait, and plan your day accordingly. Bring water and waste pick up bags for your pets and snacks for the humans. We can only see domesticated dogs and cats. No feral animals. For the safety of your pet, all dogs MUST be on a leash and cats MUST be in a carrier.
