This Election Day, when residents of Utica, Kentucky hit the voting booth, they'll be voting on more than elected positions.  There's now officially a Wet/Dry initiative on the ballot.According to Daviess County Court Clerk, Richard House, a "petition filed Tuesday, August 14th, for a Wet/ Dry Election to be held in the Utica precinct has been verified and will be sent to the Judge Executive to set the election which will be included on the November 6th General Election ballot.  All registered voters in the Utica precinct will be eligible to vote on the issue."

The petition for a Wet/Dry Election was submitted by Tejash Patel.

Utica will not be the only area of Daviess County engaged in wet/dry election this year.  According to House, Utica joins the Philpot East precinct in being the first round of Wet/ Dry Elections appearing on regular election ballot for Daviess County.
