Tomorrow, October 23rd, we are joining forces with the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association and Kentucky Legend for our first-ever Aid the Homeless Textathon.  The event will run from 6am to 6pm CST and will raise money for Aid the Homeless, which serves six different homeless shelters/services here in Owensboro.  One of the beneficiaries of the event will be a local agency I am very familiar with and have been supporting for years.  It's the St. Joseph Peace Mission for Children, which features the Yewell Home for Boys and the Hayden Home for Girls.

Here's a look at what this incredible mission does and how it benefits from funds provided by Aid the Homeless.

As you heard in that video from my dear friend Paula Yevincy, who's the Executive Director of St. Joseph's, the money contributed by Aid the Homeless serves a valuable and necessary purpose.  It helps with operational costs and feeding the residents of the facility.

This morning, on the WBKR morning show, we were joined by Paula Yevincy and Bryson Morrow (Director of Development), who chatted with Angel to discussed the impact of St. Joseph's and the monumental importance of tomorrow's fundraising event.

Donating during our Aid the Homeless Textathon is incredibly easy. All you have to do is text the word GIVE to 833-814-7739. Stay tuned to WBKR, Friday, October 23rd from 6am to 6pm for hourly updates and the grand tote board total!
