An Owensboro Nursing Home Is Celebrating National Nursing Home Week in a Big Way
Nursing Homes often become a new way of life for those individuals who can no longer live alone. Each center is unique and serves the needs of all who are a part of that special place.This week we are celebrating National Nursing Home Week and you can too. One nursing home in town is asking for your help.
Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation will be celebrating not only the residents but also the staff, and the volunteers. They are having a fun week of themed days with craft activities, spirit days, and even a talent show.
They are asking for donations so they can show the residents and staff how much they are loved.
Below is a list of the themed days;
May 15- Aloha/Luau Day
May 16- Hobby/Craft Day
May 17- Wish/Disney Day
May 18- Chillin/Pampering Day
May 19- Spirit/Talent Show Day
You are even welcome to volunteer your time. Many residents in nursing homes don't have family members. They depend on the kindness and love of the staff and volunteers to be their family.
If you would like to donate items you can call Christi Moore at 270-684-4559 or you can drop donations off at 1614 West Parrish Avenue.
