Country Star Andy Griggs Talks Roller Coasters, Buying Underwear and Living in Kentucky

Country music star Andy Griggs is one the headliners at the Spencer County Music Fest, which is coming up Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th at the Spencer County Fairgrounds in Grandview, Indiana.

Day One of the inaugural two-day event features Andy alongside David Lee Murphy, America's Got Talent's Marty Brown, Georgette Jones and more. Day Two will be headlined by Confederate Railroad, Darryl Worley & Anthony Smith, and local favorite Colt Graves.

In advance of his appearance at the festival, Andy called into my morning radio show at The Country Station, 92.5 WBKR. Mary-Katherine and I chatted with Andy about all kinds of things- what time he gets up in the morning, the Holiday Inn Resort PCB in Florida, his love of roller coasters and the fact that he buys discount underwear at T.J. Maxx.

And, yes! Andy now lives in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky and routinely finds his way to Owensboro. It's entirely possible that if you're shopping at T.J. Maxx or Hobby Lobby, you may run into him.
