Kelly Annin has a longtime love affair with her "Bohemian bungalow" here in Owensboro.  In her words, the house is "more than half of who I am."

There's no doubt the other part of Kelly is firmly entrenched in Hawaii, where she landed this past Sunday and will stay through April. All three of her children were born there. She got married in Hawaii twice. Kelly's roots in Hawaii run deep. As you know, that state has been battling devastating wildfires and Kelly is there to help sort through the destruction and participate in the rebuilding and rebirth efforts. Hawaii is truly her home away from home.

While she's away, her captivating and accommodating Bohemian escape here in town is listed on Airbnb. Kelly, who never minces words (and that's why I have adored her for the decades of our friendship). says, "Baby, I need it rented."

And there's so much here for renters to appreciate and enjoy. Kelly is an artist and her signature flair is on full display in each of the home's rooms. Speaking of which, the home is a one bedroom, one bath escape to another, very artistic world.

Kelly says her Airbnb listing offers something incredibly unique. "It's got interactive art that you can do. I bought Zen boards so you can go in there and do a painting which disappears in like 10 minutes so that they can paint again and again. And the refrigerator is covered with magnets and you can write poetry and stories."

Kelly's Airbnb is currently renting for an introductory price of just $116 per night and is available, as I mentioned earlier, through April of 2024. That introductory price is good for the first thirty days. That's a heckuva bargain for a home with a heckuva story to tell. The house is, quite frankly, as refreshing as Kelly.  She says, "My home is extremely eclectic...full of surprises, curiosities and comfort everywhere."
