Baby? What Baby?

Congratulations to Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, proud new parents of weeks-old Faith Margaret Kidman Urban who was born through a surrogate mother on December 28. The couple's other daughter is 2-year-old Sunday Rose. But I'd also like to congratulate the Kidman-Urbans for keeping this relatively quiet. It seems like within just the last month Keith mentioned he and Nicole were only at the contemplating stage with regards to a second child.  Maybe they're good at staying out of the spotlight, or at least managing admirably while under it.  A couple of years ago, I was at a movie theatre in Nashville and they were standing in front of me. And it occurred to me that they were being left alone. No autograph seekers, no phone cameras clicking away. I've heard other stories. I have friends in Nashville who routinely see them out in Nashville--shopping, eating out. They're Nashvillians just like everybody else. And they seem to lead a fairly private life in public.
