Authorities responded to Ernesto's Mexican Bar & Grill in Wesleyan Park Plaza late Thursday night/early Friday morning due to a fire that ignited within the restaurant.

I didn't learn much about the extent of the damage while I was there but I do know that it spread into the attic, which would explain why smoke began billowing from the top of the west side of the building after it had been doing the same thing on the east side of the building.

When I spoke to an officer right around midnight, he told me the fire had been "knocked down" or put out.

The pictures below don't tell us much about the damage within, but the outer walls were intact the entire time I was there.
