Bluegrass Chainsaw Showdown Coming to Owensboro This Weekend

The Bluegrass Chainsaw Showdown is happening in Owensboro this weekend, where contestants will display their skills in the act of chainsaw carving. The community is invited to watch the sawdust fly as competitors transform a log into a striking piece of art. Because finished pieces will sell directly to the public, we're asking which wood sculpture would you most like to see carved.

 BLUEGRASS CHAINSAW SHOWDOWN

Eleven of the most masterful chainsaw carvers from different states are coming to town! For the main event, the carvers interpret their 8-foot log limited to 20 work hours. The carvers compete in 2 quick carve competitions, limited to 1 hour. The 3-day event will take place at the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront.

The Showdown happens on Friday, November 10th, from 9 AM until 5 PM with the auction starting at 6 PM. It will resume on Saturday, November 11th, from 9 AM until 5 PM with the auction beginning at 6 PM. The final day of the competition will held on Sunday, November 12th, from 9 AM until 1 PM with the auction at 2 PM.

VENDOR SPACE AVAILABLE

Cost: $150.00 for the 3-day event. The event will be outdoors, and vendors are responsible for bringing and setting up all tables, chairs, etc. Each vendor will be provided space for two 10x10 tents.

Conditions for Applications:
•All Vendors are responsible for their own liability insurance and any necessary licenses and permits. You will be required to show proof of insurance and permits before set up.
•All Vendors shall follow all Kentucky law and local regulations.
•All Vendors must properly secure products or items while on the grounds. Glowing Jacks Carvings and Linmar Hospitality have no responsibility for lost or stolen products or items.
•All vendors shall conduct themselves in a professional manner. Glowing Jacks Carvings and Linmar Hospitality reserve the right to ask you to leave with no refund, if we feel professionalism is not being followed.
•No Refunds for cancellations or no-shows.
