Brescia University is launching the school's first-ever cheer and dance program this Fall.  And a good friend of mine has been hired to be head coach.  Way to go, Kendal Connor!

Kendal is a graduate of Trinity High School in Whitesville.  Currently, she is the Assistant Coach of the Daviess County High School Pantherettes, a team that won two state titles recently at the KDCO State High School Dance Team Championships in Frankfort.

During her years with the team, the Pantherettes have won numerous competitions, including five regional grand championships, and placing in the top 10 at NDA Nationals for five years. The team is actually leaving for Orlando tomorrow and Kendal hopes that she and her mother, Debbie, can coach the girls to a national title.

Kendal is excited for the trip and thrilled to be announced as Head Coach of Brescia's brand new cheer and dance team.

The university's Competitive Cheer and Dance team was announced earlier this year as an addition to the host of athletic programs offered by Brescia University. The program, beginning Fall 2017, will be one of only two programs in the Commonwealth at independent institutions to offer scholarships to incoming freshmen.

And I can tell you from experience, they will absolutely learn from the best!

Again, way to Kendal!  And a big shout out to the Brescia Bearcats!
