The City of Owensboro recently announced that Bridge Day is returning! Last year to celebrate the re-opening of the Blue Bridge, people were invited to walk or bike across the bridge and it was so exciting! This year the event is set for Saturday, September 8th in conjunction with the East Bridge Arts Festival (presented by Studio Slant).

The festival includes dozens of artists from around the region in addition to live entertainment, kids’ activities and food vendors.  The festival will take place from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.  Street Chalking will be new to the 2012 event.  Anyone wanting to create their own masterpiece on the streets of downtown Owensboro can register with the festival to reserve their location to showcase their best street chalk art and compete for the People’s Choice Award.
