Calling all actors! If you have ever wanted to feel the warmth of stage lights or hear the roar of a standing ovation, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is producing a show you will definitely want to be a part of!

'The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical'  is adapted from the popular young adult novel, The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and book by Joe Tracz, with Music & Lyrics by Rob Rokicki.
If you are not familiar with this coming-of-age adventure, 12-year-old Percy Jackson discovers that he has otherworldly powers! This leads him to realize that he is actually the son of Greek God, Poseidon.  Joining up with a band of mythological friends, Percy leads a quest to find Zeus' lightning bolt.  They need it to stop the monsters on their trail and save the world!

'The Lightning Thief,' has an excellent team to make this magical story come to life.  Director Anthony Eiras, Musical Director Abby Clayton, Assistant Director Kayla Kelley, and Choreographer Erin Morris.  They are all veterans of the local performing arts scene, which means they have the chops necessary to support and encourage the cast on THEIR quest to learn and perfect the show.
Eiras wants to make sure everyone interested in auditioning knows that none of the roles have been chosen beforehand. They hope to encourage all races, ages, body types, genders, vocal ranges, and experience levels to audition. Dancing is a component of this show, but please don't let that intimidate you! Come dressed to move, and Erin will teach you everything you need to know.

If you're someone who doesn't want to be in the spotlight, but you still want to be part of the fun, there are also important roles to fill for the tech crew. Just come on down, introduce yourself and let them know whether you'd like to do lights, sound, props, or anything in between!
