Two of my favorite things in the world are super easy to come by, and for that I am thankful. Anyone who knows or works with me knows I love, love, LOVE coffee. That adoration actually runs in the family; I swear I don't think my mother ever drank anything else.

Coffee and Chocolate Festival

Mom was also a chocolate lover, so I wish she was here to appreciate this. She'd also nudge to take her to Calvert City, Kentucky, next month, and who could blame her. That's the location of the Purchase Area Coffee and Chocolate Festival. Specifically, it will take place at the Calvert City Civic Center on March 7th and 8th.

From 9 AM until 2 PM both days, visitors will be in coffee and chocolate heaven as they walk amongst the mouthwatering offerings of handpicked bakers, artisans, and dessert professionals. They'll be bringing their talents and their delicious treats from all over Western Kentucky and the Purchase. Many varieties of coffee, tea, fudge, cookies, breads, and more will be available.

Here's a look back at last year's event.

Did I see cakes? Well, if I didn't, I'm sure they'll be there, along with all the other amazing goodies. (I want coffee and piece of dark chocolate, like, right now.)

Last year's event featured workshops, but I'm not sure that's on tap for the 2026 extravaganza. But that won't matter once you walk in and find yourself surrounded by all manner of chocolates and coffees.

I wish we didn't have to wait a month.
