Two of the fiercest college football rivalries are on tap this afternoon and tonight.  Tennessee vs. Florida (in progress) and Kentucky vs. Louisville.  And who am I rooting for in each game?  Well I think you know were my alliances lie in the UK/Louisville contest.  In the other game, I'm rooting for the GATORS!  Here's why.

Tennessee v Florida Charlie Weis

Why the picture of Charlie Weis?  He's now the offensive coordinator at Florida, yeah, that's a good sign of victory, at least for this year.  Don't even get me started on his collapse at Notre Dame.  My other reason for rooting for Florida is a little more personal.  About six years ago, I made some new friends, in NASHVILLE, who are die hard Gator fans.  They buy new Florida t-shirts every season in advance of the Florida/Tennessee game; I ended buying a Florida trucker cap that I still cherish to the this day, are you surprised?  They were big Rex Grossman and Tim Tebow fans; Grossman is now the starting QB for the Washington Redskins while Tebow's future with the Denver Broncos is still uncertain.  Anyway, Jaclyn Graves, as you know, is originally from Tennessee, so she bleeds orange through and through; we'll see what happens! HA!

Kentucky v Louisville

Tonight's annual battle for the "Governor's Cup" will take place at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, kick off 6pm.  Okay, UK does lead the series against Louisville, but this year, that's going to change (I'm a terrible prognosticator by the way!).  And yes, Louisville has lost the last four battles; no sweat!  Louisville is 1-1 and Kentucky is 2-0, so what?  Both teams have not played their best so far, so this will be the ultimate test.  It's too bad UK will be without this guy:

New Orleans Saints v Green Bay Packers Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb!  He scored twice, including a kickoff return for a touchdown in the Green Bay Packers' victory over the New Orleans Saints this past Sunday.  His versatility will be greatly missed when UK has the ball.  I won't make predictions on this game either, but I'm hoping the Cardinals can capture the W and the cup.

Bring it on!
