This temporary marker will be placed where the eventual monument will be.  That monument will pay tribute to and immortalize the first responders who paid the ultimate sacrifice here in Owensboro-Daviess County.  There are various designs being considered for what will become the permanent monument. This project was made possible by the generosity of Daviess County Judge Executive All Mattingly and the Daviess County Fiscal Court.

It will also be made possible YOUR generosity.  According to Adam Johnston, from the Owensboro Police Department, donations for the memorial are being accepted through the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 16 website or their Facebook page.

Estimated completion of this project is expected to be about a year.
