Here’s Where You Can Drive 140+ MPH in Kentucky and Not Get a Ticket
What I wouldn't give to take some kind of super-powered sports car out west where the speed limits top 75 MPH and just floor it. In some states, you can push it to 80 or 85 MPH. What an exhilarating feeling.
In Kentucky, the top speed limit you will encounter is 70 MPH on interstate highways and parkways. You're pushing your luck if you try to hit those aforementioned numbers. But what if you could drive a super-powered sports car in Kentucky, take it up to or beyond 140 MPH, and not have to worry about a ticket? How does that sound?
National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park
Imagine hopping behind the wheel of a C7 or C8 Corvette Stingray, being presented a track, and then making that speedometer top out at 140 or beyond. Or you don't have to imagine it at all. Part of the fun of the National Corvette Museum is the Motorsports Park, which allows guests to open it up in a way they cannot on any given road in this country.
High Performance Driving Schools
Driving a Corvette at top speed around any track would be an unbeatable thrill, but have you considered taking a "class" in high-performance driving? At the Corvette Museum, multiple classes will be "in session" this summer up through September 19th.
Click here for the schedule. Driving academies are also available, not to mention a host of other driving experiences.
If you've never visited the National Corvette Museum, it's the perfect attraction for summertime or, well, anytime. It's open year-round.
